These funny party games are just what you need to liven up your party and provide you and your guests tons of laughs and memories. Most of them are D.I.Y games that require ordinary household objects, many do not need any props to play.
The object of this game is simple: Be the first to pick up the prize.
Have all the players link arms at the elbow and form a circle, everyone should be facing outward. Place a $10 bill in the center of the circle. That’s it. The first person to pick up the prize gets to keep it. The only rule is you must keep your arms linked in the circle.
This fun party game is Hilarious! It is played the opposite of the traditional limbo game. Players place their hands behind their backs and take turns reaching down to pick up a brown paper sack with nothing but their mouth. After every round you cut off or fold down another inch or so from the bag.
I had to include this Bite the bag how to video because, well, it's just funny.
THE RULES: simple, nothing but your mouth can be used to pick up the box and nothing but your feet can touch the floor. If a player breaks a rule they are out of the competition. To make it harder some people play where you have to be holding one foot off the ground while you "bite the bag".
Other people have also used empty cereal boxes to play this game if they could not find a brown paper sack.
Set a plate with five cherries on it in front of every player. The object of the game is to be the first to eat all five cherries.
Piece of Cake, Right?
Not so fast, they must do this with their hands behind their backs using only their mouths.
Still Too Easy, You Say?
Well your right, that’s why you are going to completely cover the plate of cherries with whipped cream. Get the camera ready cause you're going to want to take lots of pictures.
Now that's a funny party game!
For this game players divide into couples. One partner in each couple is blindfolded. You will need to MAKE SURE that no one can peek or it would ruin the game. You will also need to make sure that you have plenty of space and nothing breakable in the playing area.
All the couples start on one side of the playing area. After the partners are blindfolded reveal the swag. This can be a prize, a $10 bill, anything that will get players excited.
Now the players that are not blindfolded must remain where they stand and lead their partners to the prize using only their words (no touching) . the goal is to be the first to grab the swag of course, but the hilarity of watching the players try and get there will be laughed about for years.
Guests divide into teams or couples. One (brave) person holds the balloon in their mouth (by the know) while the other person lathers their balloon with shaving cream. Now the partner not holding the balloon must remove all the shaving cream with a disposable razor. The first team who completes this WITHOUT popping their balloon wins.
WARNING: The picture to the left should be used as a cautionary tale. : )
This hilarious party game takes some prep work but it is SO worth it. For each participant you'll need an empty rectangle tissue box, and about 10 ping pong balls. You'll also need string or ribbon.
Before the party lace the sting through each box so that you will be able to tie it around the waist of the players. Next fill each box with the ping pong balls and your ready.
here comes the fun part... Tie the tissue box belts around each players waist, making sure the tissue box is in the back. Put on some music and let the players shake their booties to the music. No touching the box with your hands or help from others. The object of the game is to be the first to bop all your balls out.
How predictable is your friend’s behavior? Find out in this fun twist on bingo. This game is best at parties where the guest already know each other. When guest arrive hand them all a blank bingo card (you can mark the space in the middle as free). They are to fill in each square themselves based on what they think the other guests will do at the party. Examples:
During the party everyone can mark off their cards if the predication occurs. The first one to get a bingo calls it out and wins a prize. You can continue playing to see if someone fills up their entire card, or count to see has the most predictions right at the end of the party.
In some native tribes it is considered a feat of courage and strength to walk across a bed of hot coals bare-footed, in our modern world we have a equivalency - and if you have ever had the misfortune of stepping on a lego (haven't we all) then you know what I am talking about.
This hilarious party challenge was inspired by the video below. In my version the host prepares the lego firewalk by creating a long walking path of 10+ feet. You can create the path multiple ways. My favorite way is simple, using painters tape mark off your walk on the floor.
Once you have created your walking path you will need a lot of lego's to fill it up. You want to make sure their is no space on the path where a player can step without stepping on a lego.
Once the lego firewalk is complete challenge players to walk across. Use a good prize as incentive for those who make it all the way across.
This next idea was found on thefamilyreunionhelper.com. It is a fun and hilarious twist on the classic pinata. You will need to hot glue small prizes all over a old shirt. You can use small candy, small toys, money, etc. Place each item in a zip-lock bag and hot glue each bag to the shirt. You will want to cover the shirt in prizes.
Now have the pinata volunteer put the shirt on. Give them a head start and send the other players after them. The players chase down the human pinata and when they get close enough they can pull off a bag. Players cannot grab, tackle, or hold the human pinata in anyway. They can only grab the bags attached to them. Game continues until all bags have been pulled from the human pinata!
Imagine one of your favorite childhood board games played out in a lifesize version. That is Human Hungry Hungry Hippo's. It takes a bit of prep, but the fun and memories you'll make with your friends and family are well worth it.
You will need:
Have players divide into pairs. One player in each pair will be the pusher, while the other is the hippo.
This game is best played in a large driveway or parking lot (though my friends and I played it on my kitchen floor and had a blast)
Create the playing area by using chalk to draw a 10x10 ft square. To play the game each pair gets on one side of the square. The hippo's lay belly down on their scooters, the pushers grab hold of their feet, and the hippo's hold the laundry baskets in their hands.
To start the game the host releases all the plastic balls into the middle of the game area and yells GO! Pushers can now push their hippo's into the playing box (without stepping into it themselves) and the hippo must capture as many balls as they can in a 3 minute time period that each round last. They can only use their baskets, they can not scoop or pick up the balls with their hands.
At the end of three minutes the host will call time. Whichever team has the most balls in their basket at the time, wins that round. PLay as any rounds as you want - it is EPIC!
